Who Was Stephen Siller

On September 11, 2001, Stephen Siller was a Firemen with the Fire Department of New York City, who was assigned to Brooklyn’s Squad 1. He had just finished his shift when he got word of a plane hitting the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He returned to Squad 1‘s Station whose crew had already departed and grabbed his gear.

Stephen then drove his truck to the entrance of the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, which had been closed for security purposes. Determined to reach his Squad, he strapped 60 lbs. of gear to his back, and raced on foot through the tunnel to the Twin Towers, where he gave up his life while saving others.

When we first started our business, we found the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation. It was a perfect fit for our company.

Service to our Nation is extremely important to our family. Rob has served our country in the U.S. Army for 31 years, as well as in law enforcement. My brother Kevin was also in the U.S. Army and my oldest brother Sean is a California Fire Department, Firefighter.

We were living in New York City during the terrible events of September 11th, 2001. Rob heard the news on the radio, he dropped everything and went to Ground Zero where he assisted with rescue and recovery operations for over a month.

Two years later our family was shaken to the core when my brother Kevin, who was a U.S. Army pilot and stationed overseas was killed. He and his copilot’s selfless heroic actions at the end of their lives saved hundreds of people.

My oldest brother Sean is a firefighter and he too has saved countless lives throughout his long career. I am surrounded by protectors, people who are willing to risk their lives or have given their life to save the lives of others they do not know.

Stephen Siller was a hero cut from the same cloth. He was protector, who gave his life to save others. The Foundation’s mission honors our military and first responders for our country each and every day.

We are so deeply honored to partner with this amazing organization and so a portion of all our proceeds will go to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Since its founding, the Foundation has grown into a Nationally recognized non-profit organization with several programs:

The Smart Home Program– Builds custom mortgage-free smart homes for catastrophically injured service members.
Gold Star Family Home Program– Provides a 100 percent mortgage-free home to surviving spouses with young children.
Fallen First Responder Home Program– Provides a support system for the surviving family of service members and first responders to ensure that they are cared for.
Since they first started to help our Heroes the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation has:

Raised nearly $250 million dollars in support of our Nation’s heroes and their families.

Met an incredible standard of $.93 cents of every dollar going to services and only $.37 cents being allocated for expenses.

Just as we have partnered with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundations.

In the unfortunate event military personnel or a first responder is killed in the line of duty and the Foundation requests an Emergency Request for Financial Support. We will post that information here.
